Benefits

When you rent from us, you can enjoy the following benefits:

  • ✅ Organized and clean environment. Lease terms require that all tenants keep their belongings tidy (in boxes, up on shelves, etc.), and we will regularly blow out dust and dirt as well.

  • ✅ Leak-free environment. We know that nobody likes to find water spots on their hangared aircraft. We will immediately fix any roof leaks found.
  • ✅ 100,000 lumens of light (equivalent to 83x 100W light bulbs), evenly distributed across the space. And it's LED, so none of that buzzing from the old lights!
  • ✅ Each aircraft gets bright yellow lines to mark its home position, and lead lines to help in getting it there. Cones are available for marking wingtips.

  • ✅ Each owner has a section of the wall available for toolboxes, shelving, etc.
  • ✅ Complimentary drinks and snacks. Bottled water will always be available, but let us know what favorites you'd like us to stock for you!
  • ✅ Power available for oil pan heaters, battery chargers, etc. Electricity cost is included in the rent.
  • ✅ Wi-Fi available throughout the entire building.
  • ✅ Digital door lock with a unique code per person.
  • ✅ Security cameras for both day and night, to ensure your aircraft remains safe.
  • ✅ Exterior lighting for nighttime flying.
  • 🛠️ Live temperature and humidity data from the hangar's interior, on a graph on the website.

West Hangar:

  • Power outlets only on the south end by the breaker box.

East Hangar:

  • Power outlets around the perimeter, so every aircraft has an outlet within 30ft.
  • A 12'x14' office or pilot lounge, with refrigerator, freezer, microwave, couch, Smart TV.
  • Office interior cleaned weekly.

  • Keurig machine with a selection of coffee.

  • Electric 30-amp heater in the wall heats the office within minutes.
  • 🛠️ Hand-washing station in the hangar space near the office.
  • 🛠️ Restroom outside the office.

Future plans

  • Items marked with 🛠️ are in process and planned during 2026.

  • Depending on the size of aircraft on long-term leases, we're considering getting a small electric tug that everyone can share.

  • We also have full-hangar heat in mind (propane radiant heat system), depending on how much the space is used during the winter months.

Shared hangar safety

Using a shared space can be quite flexible and rewarding. However, we take several steps to put safety first:

  • We maintain a CAD drawing of the hangar, accurate to +/- 2", and diagrams of various aircraft models, so we can ensure at least a 12" safety clearance around all aircraft, preferably even more than that.
  • In most configurations, there will be one aircraft in the front with direct access to the hangar door, and 2 aircraft behind. The tenants in the back should only need to move that front aircraft to get out. We use the far back corner for own aircraft, or for project space.
  • Nobody moves your airplane unless they can demonstrate first to the property manager that they can safely do so and they obtain a sign-off. We know that pushing a castering nosewheel back is very different from a spring-tension nosewheel, so this sign-off is needed for each tenant and for each aircraft model.

Location

Both of our hangars are located at 7989 Cessna Dr. They are actually the same building, but with a dividing wall between. Each unit is approximately 3,400 sqft, enough to fit 4-5 aircraft, depending on size and wing overlap.

Our hangar is in a convenient location on the airport as well:

  • Paved surface all the way from hangar to runway.
  • It's an end-hangar, so there's plenty of room outside to maneuver your aircraft
  • Very little traffic (aircraft or cars).

Meadowlake Airport

In case you're not familiar with KFLY... This airport is different from the typical airport in several ways:

  • KFLY has no control tower, yet it has a GPS instrument approach with LPV accuracy to 200ft AGL.
  • Since KFLY is designated as a reliever airport for KCOS, it receives federal funding to maintain the runway and Taxiway A in excellent condition.
  • The hangar complex is all private land... individual plots zoned commercial with a GA overlay. At most airports, hangars are either owned by the city/county, or they are privately owned but built on land owned by the city/county.
  • This airport has a great community feel, with many mechanics and flight schools operating on the field, an EAA chapter, and many local builders. More information on their website here: http://www.meadowlakeairport.net/
